I Hate Being In Love

Can you hate the one you love the most
for making you love them so much?
When the only thing that brings you joy
is the sound of their voice and their touch.
I told him that I couldn't love him.
I'd been hurt too much in the past.
But I really never had a choice.
My resolution didn't last.
So now I'm stuck in love with a man
who tore down every wall.
I just hope that things are different this time.
I can't afford another fall...
