I Had That Dream Again

I had that dream again. It was due, but still unexpected. The reality upon waking, a shot to the chest. Inticately wedged your bullet back home where it belongs between beats and valves. I pray for my heart to be still to die inside and be free of you. Kick loose this ball and chain. A force that cannot and will not be measured by magnetism. Excluded by gravity, you pull me then push me away like the tides. Do you dream of me? Or do you wake and thank God it was all a dream?
