I Give Thanks

May I thank God for another day?
And wake to feel your glory of rays
Lemon rings around to rise
Weary changes and tired eyes
Mystical hours of the morning brake
Not much longer
I must wait
To see your rearing upon this earth
And shining down
To give us worth
A new day has shown its face
Soft sudden shadows upon my face
Wake up all
Wake up this day
For the Lord has given me another day
