I Gave Up On You Today
We were in love,
nothing else mattered,
until on day you said it was over
you didn't explain why,
you never did say,
you just let me wonder,
and I did every single day
until today.
I gave up on you today
which shouldn't be a shock,
I gave up on you, and now I'm free
I'm free to be the person that I used to be-
only better because it's the real me -
without you.
