I Found What I Lost

from the core out
the brain round
you are the light
built inside
burst of beaming light
when i'm scared at night
the fitting piece
the repair without a cost
the missing piece I thought I lost
as my days grow old
nights came weak
searching high and low
blood melts out of me
flesh tearing apart
drying up from within and out
weaker, grew my heart
from searching here and about
I found what I had before
love and affection
knocking at my door
but turn direction
on this special clueless day
your promises are fake
I found someone better
Someone who remains by my side
hates to see me cry
I found what I lost
Someone I claim as mine

What a beautiful day and how wonderful it is to be able to read what was on your mind and in your heart when you wrote this poem Angela. I hope you have a weekend full of new found inspiration. Love, Carol
