I FOUND PEACE IN THE STORM
My sails were greedily full,
On the high sea, I sailed wide.
In merriment, I heard my mast cry,
Full of pride, its strength I denied.
I plunged deeper and deeper,
In seas of pride, I was eager,
To fill my soul with materialism,
Ignoring the core of realism.
My mast gave in to the storm,
My rudder broken, sails torn.
My boat on the brink of oblivion,
I realized I was, after all, God's own.
I stood on God's promises,
For His words are true.
And in all His promises, He said, "I do."
I found peace in the storm.
