I Forgot To Remember What I Forgot
I FORGOT TO REMEMBER WHAT I FORGOT
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS
I Forgot to Remember, That When You Talk Trash
You Will Soon Be Reminded, a Lacking of Panache
Slowly but Surely There’s a Lesson You Will Learn
Poking a Dragon That You Thought of as a Worm
When Cornered and the Only Option Is a Lie
For the Immediate Future, it Will Get You by
Folks Will No Longer Take You at Your Word
Hard to Remember an Event That Never Occurred
Filling out an Important Employment Application
Fudging Experiences Without a Single Hesitation
Will Surely Lead to Humiliation and Frustration
Exit Sign above the Door Your Final Destination
Inflating Income to Get a Mortgage for a Home
Every N Each Month You must Repay the Loan
Don’t Wake Some Morning with a Van at Your Door
Furnishings on the Lawn a Neighborhood Eyesore
Etcetera, Etcetera There’s So Much More
Its All about Lying, Avoiding, Eluding the Truth
Nine Times out of Ten it Will Surely Cook Your Goose
