I Forgive You

I forgive you

I held hurts and anger from when I was a kid
I bottled it up and snapped shut the lid

I carried that pressure for years and years
Till the lid popped off and out came the tears

It spewed forth into my soul
It blackened it darker than coal

My heart was poisoned my mind was dark
My Christian light was but a spark

Then I finally heard what I've always been told
It's the unforgivness from your past you hold

I forgive you and pray you forgive me
Yes I am talking to you who ever you may be
