I Find It Hard

To do anything really.

                   To speak up,
                   To keep quiet.

                                   To laugh out loud,
                                   To burst into tears.

                                                    To love,
                                                    To forgive.

When it comes down to it
It all takes energy
That I just don't seem to have.

It all takes time
That I just can't afford to give.

But in the end

                     I find it hard
                     not to scream
                                in silence.

                                        Or cry so hard
                                                      I laugh.

                                                            Or love so much
                                                                            I have to forgive.
