I Feel So Empty

I feel so empty 
like a link less chain
like the world has gone 
around once again 
but I wasn't told 
I was kept in the dark 
like I'm crashing flint 
which won't throw a spark 
I feel so empty 
like a waterless well 
I'm an old waisted wizard 
who can't cast a spell 
I'm lost and alone 
and I can not see why 
the world wants to move 
but I don't want to try 
I feel so empty 
like a game of chess 
with only one player 
I have to confess 
the board is clear 
but for the Queen and the King 
is it check or stalemate 
the ending will bring 
I feel so empty 
like a link less chain 
like the world has gone 
around again
