I Dreamt Of You Waiting For Me In The Dawn

I dreamt of You — waiting for Me —
At the hem of waking Light —
Where Darkness folds her tattered wings
And yields them to the White.

You stood — as if the Morning knew
Her first task was Your Grace —
And stilled the timid Winds — to watch
The lifting of Your face.

No Footstep could I manage —
Between the Sleep and Day —
Yet still — You kept Your vigil there
Where Shadows break away.

And when I woke — the Dawn had fled —
But left — upon my Brow —
The hush of Someone looking on —
Who waits for Me — even Now.
