I Dreamt of God

For Cheri

I look through the trees,
Through the green branches
Traveling white fluffys
They run from the sun.

I lay in the green grass
What God has created
Laid here before us
With his heart and his hand.

Why does he do it ?
Give us such beauty ?
Or is He a They?
Not Woman or Man.

They say "just have faith,
He walks beside you
Though you can't see
Believe me he's there."

Help me? I am nothing
But I feel he is waiting
He sees but says nothing
Just holds out his hand.

He speaks through his heart
Not saying just feeling
I am here for you child,
If you are willing.

He tells me to put
One foot before me
And I will be moving
Closer to God.

"Is that why you came here?"
He smiles and he's nodding.
I thought you forgot me
I'm told always I'm bad.

He pulls me to him
Still keeping silent,
He takes the bad memories,
All the tears and the violence

I open my eyes
He looks for a long time
Is he seeing the tiny cracks
Inside my hearts home?

He says he is going
But do as I tell you,
And you'll feel me beside you
You are never alone.

The Pharisees are asking Jesus in the first part of John 8:19 - So they were saying to Him, “Where is Your Father?" Clarifies that question in the third stanza. : ) My heart smiles ' seeing ' all that God has created. Many wonderful blessings to you, Tamie. : ) Hugs, Brandy
