I Dote On You
A blue sea that runs to the bright sky in its offing
A wide field that flaunts its greenness all around down to the horizon
A petal that sits gently upon the head of a flower
All spell beauty
But the real beauty abides only in your eyes
I dote on you
For with you, comes real beauty
A cap that carries golden tints
A cloth embroidered with a silver thread
A shoe laced with a bronze rope
All pronounce richness
Still, the real richness dwells in your smiles
I dote on you
For with you, I lavish in richness
Hot pap that stabs chronic cold in the heart when it's dawn
Chilled water from the inner mind of the earth-pot in noon time
Light pounded yam that holds hunger hostage till the
morning
All sing contentment
Yet, the real contentment lives only around your open arms
I dote on you
For with you, I am contented
