I Don't Want Those Memories
We fight, I'm tired of the memories it makes
the constant drain of loves desire
drugs addictions cigarettes
their money wasted on games
On Games I do not play
the constant play on empathy
we need help our cupboards are empty
addictions keep the cupboards empty
We need help
Our dog is sick
can you pay the vet bill
I can't pay for everybody's problems
We tried to fill their cupboards up with food
that just meant more money spent
on addictions
can you buy me another crate of Beer
I don't want to hear about your addictions
I don't want to have memories of your suffering
I want a mind full of happiness and play
you're broke because you don't budget
you're broke because addictions come first
you lose your kid's because you don't care enough
the money for addictions is more important
than the food for your children
I don't do the drugs
I don't do the alcohol
I don't do the cigarettes any more
you create your problems and then ask
for me to pay
I don't want those memories
I want memories of happiness and play
instead of doom and gloom each day
arguing fighting demanding of each other
that life creates a memory of hate
children not being feed by parents
because parents need their money for drugs
Grandparents stepping in to take the kids
memories I do not want to know
I don't have those memories of self
I do not have those addictions
I worked hard through every day
people climbed the ladder of success
training learning how to do better
the work place held a different type of thought
Respect for work accomplished well
respect for people on the climb
I looked around with memories of joy
time has changed the play of my employ
The people that I see are unemployed
the people on the streets are freezing cold
with placards asking more from life untold
I don't know their story what happened and how
The unemployed did not create unemployment
these are not the memories I want
of suffering and pain upon the streets
yet family have wasted life away
addictions are the games that people play
empathy the card they twist so well
broken hearts are left upon the road
the world say's we are all responsible
For our own happiness
Happiness comes from within
I don't do drugs I don't have debt
but happiness is also created
by the lives of the people around you
if you live in a play where people are studying
building careers with a positive attitude
that also creates a positive attitude
people around you also need to live life well
