I Don't Want

I don’t want anything from anybody
I’m not asking for your money
What I am saying is you have the power
You could invest as families

You could invest in groups of three thousand
You could invest, creating employment for your children
You could invest, creating employment for yourself
Even children could invest in creating their future

Even a child can earn ten dollars per week
Baby sitting, mowing lawns, doing their chores
Saving in groups of three thousand
Ten dollars per week becomes
over one and a half million dollars per year

Do the maths
Three thousand times ten equals thirty thousand
 Thirty thousand times, fifty-two weeks
equals one million five hundred and sixty thousand
You could buy houses and create jobs

Enough to buy three houses
Or one small business
One hotel
Perhaps a camping ground

Investing together, you can create employment
You can create family wealth
You can create futures for your family
One and a half million dollars

Creating lives for yourselves
People complain of struggling
People complain about the world
But what can I do, they say
I am only one person
I can’t change the world
But saving together

Even a child could change the world
Three thousand children saving together
Could buy houses, could buy hotels
Could buy companies and create careers

Careers for themselves in their future
Working parents investing together
Could create career futures for themselves
Those hotels need a manager

They need people to work the bars
They create employment for people in need
Thousands of groups of three thousand
Could change the world

Working together, you could create
Desalination plants and use drip irrigation
To reclaim desert land growing crops feeding people
Investing together, you could create employment

For the unemployed
A mother watches as her child dies of starvation
Creating employment would give her a wage
The money to buy food and feed her starving child

We complain about the lives we don't have
Instead of creating the life we could have
We complain about the wealthy
Becoming wealthy, the elite are ruling the world

But you are the customers creating the demand for cheap
that has companies moving into third-world economies
To provide cheaper products, the rich are just puppets
to meet you, the customers' demands
