I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU CAME TO DO
Jesus came to preach the gospel
to spread the Word of God
to let the people know oppressive behavior
comes not from the heart
I don't know what you came to do
but I came to take a stand
for I've been delivered and empowered
by the blood of the Son of Man
I now embrace the resurrection power
and with faith I'll work it out
to be the change in the world I want to see
and through Christ make it come about
I don't know what you came to do
but I came to take a stand
for I've been delivered and empowered
by the blood of the Son of Man
I was created to be free
and not a prisoner of any man
for I'm a child of the Heavenly King
and for me He has a plan.
as poverty is not my destiny
and homelessness ain't my goal
and like Jesus I came to change the world
to take back from oppressors control
I don't know what you came to do
but I came to battle and fight
to no longer sit in complacency
to the challenge the status quo outright
I don't know what you came to do
but I came to take a stand
for I've been delivered and empowered
by the blood of the Son of Man
I'm putting the devil on notice
I'm giving hope to the oppressed
so that our situations and circumstances
can now be addressed
I don't know what you came to do
but I came to spread the gospel of Christ
to let my enemies know
that I'll now lead an abundant Life
yes, the battle will be long and protracted
and I'm in for the long haul
as I don't know what you came to do
but I came to tear down strongholds
