I don't have the time

I'm a shattered vase
Everything is scattered
from Italy to Greece
But I still have to make it to France in one piece.
Because I simply don't have the time.

I already played hooky with Tweedledee today
and Tweedledum is never going away,
so I killed them both in the same hour

Gave each half a grave, they share one flower.
I simply don't have the time
to get another
besides, I was a vagabond
long before that crime.

I deserted allies, survived on lies. The world takes a tooth, I take two eyes.

I'm simply not the kind of guy
to wait and see who meets the eye
I simply don't have the time!

I don't!
and what joke is this?
That I should dance like a good little show monkey
Or eat salaries for the rest of eternity?
That I shouldn't walk out right now?
Wait, okay fine.
Here's two cents for your time.
Keep them fresh and clean since pennies are going fast.
Sell em for any amount of cash
I don't care, it's none of my damn business.
You can take those 2-3 business days
and shove em where ever it will take
4 score and 7 years to get it in the toilet, and a Trail of Tears.

Because like I've said about a dozen times, I simply don't have the time.
Because like I've said about a dozen times,
I don't.

I never lied or joked about it
because it takes time that I don't have.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
