I Don't Fear Death

As Death creeps nearer, to my life's end, I look upon it as a godsend. There's no one left whom I call a friend, I'm like an oak, unwilling to bend, while shadows in the dark tend to blend. The world is under increasing strain: as nations vow to be great again. And inflicting hurt and widespread pain, Politicians are acting insane. Gobble warming's happening today: and thus, climate change is here to stay, no matter what the deniers may say. Billions of people inhabit Earth, while we're increasing our rate of birth. Facing the future, I don't fear Death. I fear that this madness will extend, to giving billionaires free rein. And I pray I won't be here the day life's judged for its value, not its worth: while poor people fight for every breath.
