I Do Not Know

I couldn't find you for so long
I couldn't find anything for so long
I felt my eyes running at fire
Tears may fall but my lungs feel empty
The thought that I could run
But my feet stood sturdy
I felt close to nothing
And I saw close to nothing
I only heard words
And yet silence was being said
On the way back
I didn't fear the dead
I found lies loading down my back
And I knew I had lost my last shred
