I Do Not Dream Except

I do not dream... Except

I do not dream...
Except to dream of you
Sitting in the gazebo
Sipping your morning brew

I do not dream...
Except to dream of you
Looking out across the lake
Watching the fowl migrate

I do not dream...
Except to dream of you
Picking some wildflowers
To grace my table today

I do not dream...
Except to dream of you
Leading us in prayer
In autumn's peaceful breeze

I do not dream...
Except...
To dream of you.
