I Do Believe

I do believe in everything that you'll find in myths
And fairytales.
They're a great way to introduce wonderful stories
That will stay with a child as their mind begins to
Set sail.
Children drift off to sleep while holding on to the
Bed rail.
Their dreams are filled with adventure, magic,
Bravery, romance, and a lot of different character
Celebrities.
I do believe in everything that you'll find in myths
And fairytales
They have a way of straightening things out so
Right always prevails.
There are new mysterious lands to add to our
Discoveries
That will stay with a child as their mind begins to
Set sail
At a mile a minute they drift off in to the night
With plenty of details
Which during the day the things of the night
Become actualities.
I do believe in everything that you'll find in myths
And fairytales
They never go stale.
No matter how many times the child has heard
Them. You can't change a word or any part
Because they have a knack for memorizing every
Word with their fantastic mental abilities.
These will stay with a child as their mind begins
To set sail.
Their biggest achievement will be reading at a
Higher scale
With a lot of varieties.
I do believe in everything that you'll find in myths
And fairytales
These will stay with a child as their mind begins to
Set sail.

Yes indeed myths and fairy tales are an important part of childhood. They can be used to teach morals and honesty because they are so easily remembered. Great job. God Bless, JB

Thank you Judy for your visit. I still read the old fairy tales. Yes, they were great for teachings morals, and honesty to children. I feel when a child uses his or her imagination a child can go far. Thank you again. I hope you have a great evening.

I love this poem as it features a lost art, the art of reading to, or making up, or telling children stories that will help sail them off to dreamland. It is so vastly important, that I used to read to my children for an hour every night before they slumbered. I wish this was still happening. You have brought back into my mind one of my favorite times and theirs too, so thank you, Bette.

I am glad you liked it. I feel like you that this was important yet, so much fun. To travel to distant lands, to encounter adventure, villains, hero's, and just to see the expressions on their faces was great. I loved reading to my children after bath time at the end of the day. It was a great way to build a special bond and to snuggle. I still read to my grandchildren when they come for a visit. I had 7 girls and four boys out of all of them I have five avid book readers to this day. Of course it is the girls. Lol. I am glad I could bring to you a happy memory. I wish it was still happening too. Thank you so much Caren for visiting. I hope you have a great day.

Thank you for coming. I am glad you liked it. I enjoyed reading to my children. I found an original Brothers Grimm fairytale book. It was one of the many we read at night time. It was a great time for snuggles and love to be felt all around. I hope you had a great nights sleep.
