Notes About The Poem

In this poem is what actually happened to me.

By writing it out it helps with the storm inside.

I Died To Live

As a soft spring breeze gently kisses my face.
My heart is tender from a broken embrace.
This broken love makes sorrows and I cry.
I am the only lover in this that tries.
I must leave, for the pain I cannot bear.
Now I will live alone with no one to share.

Beauty all around me is what I see.
But darkness now surrounds me where I cannot be.
I will embrace it and I will pass away.
I cry and cry in deep sobs as I die today.
A wonder of life appeared to me this day.
My wonderful friend came by and stayed.
He called for help to save my life.
But my rescuers I gave them nothing but strife.
Doctors said to my mother that my stomach is empty.
My Aunt prayed and prayed for me to have a life of Plenty.

As the Dawn of a new life comes rebirth
And now the snow withdraws from this Earth.
Spring came in and gave beauty to this dreary place
My heart is reborn of awe and wonder to know this grace
Now I live and look at the Miracle of Life that is given to me.
With this new outlook at the circle of life I begin to see.
