I Didn'T Mean To

I didn't mean to love your smile
I didn't mean to need your presence
I didn't mean to adore everything you do

I didn't mean to look at your hands
And how much I wanted to hold them
I swear I didn't mean to dream of you

I didn't mean to love your neck
And watch it so closely
I could see you breathe

I didn't mean to realise
The worst part of my day
Was when you leave

I didn't mean to light up the whole street
When I heard your voice
On the end of a call

I know I said I didn't mean any of the above
But my honest heart just can't lie
My love, I meant to do it all
