I Couldn'T Resist
I couldn’t resist
I couldn’t resist swinging on gates
And collecting the stones I was finding
The puddles I found invited me in
And trees they all needed some climbing
I couldn’t resist things that would crawl
And picking up every dead stick
Cans on the street were made for one thing
To run up and give them a kick
I couldn’t resist a pile of old dirt
Or walking the length of the wall
I spent many hours making mud pies
And splashing in the old waterfall
Every adventure that came to my mind
Every challenge given I risked
But keeping clean for just a short while
That I could always resist
