I Come To You

I bow my head in solemn prayer May God have mercy on my soul I feel so burdened, much despair Oh, help me please to gain control My hands are clasped; held so tight The scent of incense fills the air I’m one of three in here tonight Our lives, to Him, we all now share Oh, dear just Lord, I’ve fallen weak I place my trust, my faith’s in you My heart is free to hear You speak Answer me Lord, please, tell me true I pray dear God you are on my side My face, from you, can never hide I’m but a man, a mortal with sin Not mortal, but venial, I say to Thee now I wish to change the state I am in But, dear God, I do not know how I pray for strength to make things right I pray that my family just understands I seek out Your blessings upon this night To feel caressing of Your forgiving hand I’ll do as You wish, just give me a sign The words I’ll then speak, will be of You I know You can heal this life I call mine For You’re the Almighty, that I know true Please give me a chance to change my ways My life unto You is offered with praise
