I Close My Eyes
There’s a place I often go,
I close my eyes to feel it’s warmth;
The love that is my home.
There’s a happiness I own,
I close my eyes to regain it’s awesomeness;
The completeness that Is our hearts.
There’s this love that belongs to me,
I close my eyes to draw it nearer;
The closeness that keeps my heart.
There’s a darkness within my heart,
I close my eyes to hide it’s coldness;
The evil that lurks within.
There’s a choice I have made,
I close my eyes to forget the pain;
The hurt that is so often revealed.
There’s a hatred I know,
I close my eyes to regret it’s strength;
The possessiveness that it consumes.
There’s a will within,
I close my eyes to realize I’m stronger;
This woman that is within me now!
