I Carry My Pail

I carry my pail,
With water to bail,
To the little creek.
With the water knee deep,
I hope not to fall into the creek.

With the rain from the hurricane,
It's had not to feel the pain.

People lost,
Homes gone,
It only seems right that they get a song.
To help with all that has taken place,
With the new troubles they must face.

The worse the damage,
The more you were meant for.
You're stronger than you think.
