I Call You Friend

I call you friend
By Herold Osmond Owoseb

I have walked for miles
I have seen the tiles
And felt the colours of the rainbow
I have seen your smile
For more than a while.
Have watched you grow and thrive;
Into the talented young woman you are today.
What else have I to say,
Other than that you have inspired me,
To be the bests me I could ever be.
Moments have come and gone
And I wish for that special smile to brighten my day
I have a friend I can call a friend,
Even when life brings the distance.
May you continue to blossom
And ignite like a torch of hope for many to see
