I Believe

Some days I shun company,

Solitude is what I need.

To contemplate my mind's dark clouds,

Where grows a bitter seed.

Days pass by veiled in grey

I see no light ahead.

Anxiety is my companion,

Accompanied by dread.

There is no answer here for loss,

Not on this earthly plane.

But I believe a day will come,

When we will meet again.

Gary, such a sad write. I could swear you were writing about me and how I feel much of the time. Great write! Blessings, Kim

Such a heartfelt piece, with beautiful rhythm. Sad, but it is a place we all can relate to.

Nicely rhymed piece Gary. I like how this takes us from start to finish in only a few lines. Masterfully done.
