I Believe

I believe in second chances
when the first time I fall down
I believe the sun shines after rain
giving a smile to my frown
I believe in love everlasting
when I am sure I met the one
I believe I will go to heaven
and once again see my son
I believe my sore heart will mend
so life can be good again
I believe in all things good
in all I know and where I’ve been
I believe in angels from up above
looking down to give a hand
I believe in the magic of hope
when I think I cannot but can

Great simple words. But I don't believe in second chances. Chances? Cut out. The rest is complete. Don't worry, I always give a second chance to others, but just to prove me wrong

Oh, what a strikingly beautiful poem about beliefs. And I, also, have a son in heaven. Have faith and keep on believing in hope. Blessings, Darlene

I understand, Betty. My son, Gary, had just turned 13 in 1983. He had Cystic Fibrosis. But if you feel like I do, I just lost him yesterday! There is no distance in death. But we will see them again. That's God's promise to believers. Take care, Darlene

Thank you. My son has been gone a long time but there are still times when I need to express my feelings about that loss. He was eleven.
