I Beat the Devil

The Devil came to take my soul,
I felt its talon's on my heart,
But Jesus told me from the start,
That none could take my soul from me,
For I was like a planted tree,
In Holy Ghost Fire and Holy Ghost Free,
So as the devil jumped upon,
I thought of love of saints long gone,
And I embraced that cursed thing with the love of Christ,
And it went reeling into flight,
For only love can conquer hate,
Now Joy is my eternal state.

Well said. The greatest of all the traits of a Christian is love and it covers all.
