I Await

I await my love, by the tree where the heart is
carved. Where two hands held, and promises
of intent were passed from lip to lip. I stand
amidst the airy memories that still float this
shade. Memories that forever linger, of smiles,
beating hearts and kisses sweet. Warm days of
laughter, caring, sharing the piercing of Cupids
arrow. We will meet soon my love and the
tomorrow's will be long and cherished, the
evenings warm and treasured. Yes I await my
love for I know our union is only a heartbeat away.

You do have such a classic style in your romantic poems, Daniel. What a wonderful feeling emerges in this one! Great work, my friend. Love, Carolyn
