I Am the Greeter

I flit from room to room greeting
Because it is what I like to do
I consider myself the daily greeter
It makes me happy

Some of them cringe
Hoping I am not going to take them away
From their frenzied planning
Which should have been done last week

I take note of their somber expressions
Their lack of enthusiasm
And I flit to a different room
Where there might be a happier coworker

Sometimes I find them
Sometimes I don’t
But I start every day being optimistic
That today is the day everyone is happy.

I know it is just a matter of the right day.

Flit... lovely word , sounds like you were a social butterfly looking after everyone and making them happy...

Great attitude to have and cultivate. No doubt your optimism rubs off on others.
