I Am Proud

I am proud I'm not a Trump supporter. And minding my own business, not like a reporter. I've always been proud and I'm not sure why. Sometimes I'm not sure why I even try. I am proud that I'm Red* and Evie's kid. I'm proud and love my grand niece Sid. I am not comfortable saying these things aloud. I know I have an ego, it's not that I'm proud. I am not crazy about this task. What were you thinking that you would ask? I guess I don't have much to be proud of. All that I've ever wanted is to rise above. So to say what I am proud of. Maybe it's my desire to truly love. And to give everyone a fair shake. I guess I am proud for Pete's sake. *Red is my Dad's nickname, not red as in political. And what side of the aisle I am on is not relevant to this poem. <3 :)
