I Am Only But Breathing

Staring at the wall
Trying to feel nothing
As if I could mask out the thoughts in my brain
Sometimes I can’t breathe and I’m left gasping
for air
only to not have it found
Breathing seems so hard
 in the moment
And the air invisible,
Barely able to move down my throat.
I still can’t seem to catch a breath
And the memories are suffocating me
I try to let out a loud scream
But I’m afraid I’m stuck,
in this god-awful dream.
