I Am Not a Poet

I am not a poet, it doesn't take much to rhyme
I've no ambition within the poet world to climb

I never write about my inner love sacred to me
I consider it to be private that I just as let it be

I can write truth, but, no one as wants to know
I sometimes write it down, then; I just let it go

I am totally uneducated as clearly it does show
I seldom follow poetic rules that I seldom know

I am awed, to see one of my poems up in print
I think are there to humour me I am convinced

I sometimes write of wisdom, to show I'm wise
I have only one brain cell, which it can surprise

I sometimes write poems that are just sublime
I am not a poet, it doesn't take much to rhyme
