I Am More
I am more than what you see,
look a little deeper, you'll find me.
A smile or a frown
roots of what we each put down.
Pass me as you walk by
shopping, driving, ever on the fly.
Life's too short you know
and you may miss the grandest show.
See my face, catch my smile
I bear the innocence of a child.
Bent by time and age
there is still much on this life's page.
I am more than what you see
open your eyes, it's me.
