I Am Hurt
Silence so deafening it fills the room in its entirety, seeping into every corner
A form curled up so small it dominates and commands, even though it barely occupies a square inch
A heart so broken beyond repair, its beating compounds its own pain
Tears appear to flow as if a dam has burst, although the river bed has long since dried out
A mind so overwhelmed in its inability to process, it focuses on the calmness of a speck of dust
A body so enveloped in tiredness it no longer requires nourishment or sleep
Such abundance, such opulence all give rise to a singular meaning
I am hurt
