I Am Here, Where Are You

I have always been there When you needed me Why are you not here When I need you now I always provided my shoulder for you To lean or cry on But you never have nor do And I’ll always be around That will never change But when I need someone-you, I’m staring at the ground Whenever I need a shoulder to lean on You are never around to comfort me You’re always gone And so I sit and cry alone Wondering why I’m always on my own

I think some people are afraid that they may add to the pain in some way. Sometimes I get that way. But it's important to overcome that and at least be there for someone. Not as easy as one would think in that situation. Anyway, good poem. Always, Laura

"Everyone needs love You know that it's true Someday you'll find someone That'll fall in love with you But oh the time it takes When you're all alone Someday you'll find someone That you can call your own" <---- it's the lyric of the song 'My Michelle' by Guns N Roses...:)
