I Am Going To Be a Movie Star
Grinning happily, she begins throwing
her clothes into a bag.
She is going to be an actress! And he did not mind that
she is only fifteen. He said it is a plus! He is coming
to pick her up at midnight. She glances in the mirror. You
lucky girl! She thinks.
DO NOT TELL YOUR PARENTS he had cautioned her.
If they find out, I cannot get you into my movie. I am
not supposed to hire minors.
She grins, not feeling like a minor today. They will
be thrilled to see her on the big screen. All of those
kids at school who hate her for her skinny legs
will be wanting her autograph soon.
He will be in a black van around the corner at midnight, and he
will only wait ten minutes. If she does not show, he
will select another girl to star in his movie.
Her mother calls her to supper, and she runs down the
stairs with a starlet’s heart, so glad to have this big chance!
