I Am From
I am from where heartache hides in shaddows,
From lonliness that seems to be my only comfort.
I am from where getting close to someone gets you hurt,
From where all the events in my life make me feel like dirt.
I am from wehre my pain is hard to hide,
From looking into anothers face and knowing what I'll find.
I am from a troubled past that always seems to haunt me,
From dreams and nightmares that always taunt me.
I am from a family that tells me its ok,
From a place where the people I love always walk away.
I am from a life that doesn't seem so bad,
From thoughts of why the universe wants to see me sad.
I am from a darkness that cuts me to the core,
From a place where people always kick me to the floor.
I am from a trusting background, but I won't trust no more,
From people who I thought I trusted walked right out the door.
I am from where everything gets better with time,
From where falling in love isn't a crime.
