I Am From...

I am from puppies, rodeo arenas, camoflauge, grandma's house, basketball, tire swings,
horses, and cows

I am from deer jerkey, steak and fried potatoes, chicken and dumplings, turkey and
dressing, fresh baked bread, coke floats, and homemade ice cream

I am from Where are you going? Who's Driving? I'm going to tell your father, and everything
happens for a reason

I am from the Chata Anumpa, mother, father, family, friends, and God

I am from those moments, beneath the country stars after the sun falls from the sky
