I Am Coming Home

I am coming back to the holy home
Never again would I run or roam
I know, I have made you frown and foam
Lord please; take me back to thy holy home

I’ve been struggling in sin and sorrow
Wining and dining in shame and shadow
Lord please; take me back to thy home,
Let not my soul rotten in that hot home

I am tired of this rugged road… I roam
Lord please; take me back to thy holy home
I want to sing the saviors sweetest song
With the glorious triumphant throng

Lord please; take me back to thy holy home,
That I may stop to fidget, frown and foam
I have been a prodigal son… I come to Calvary
Rolling in dust and ashes… I am sincerely sorry

do you struggle? It is a lonesome narrow road where few are traveling...at least I feel that way. Even in my church it seems not many want to really serve God, except when it is convienent to them. what do you think?

A magnificent write, Adeleke! We all struggle here on Earth, but we are always on a quest to reach our heavenly home. You have some very admirable spiritual qualities and quite a flair for both rhyme and poetic form. Love, Carolyn
