I Am An Eagle

I don’t know my limits
I broke my shell at birth
Flying parallel to comets
Terror bird fell to the earth

At the tip of a drying tear
An open mouth full of pain
Sharp as a warrior’s spear
Flying faster than falling rain

Eyes high on my sky bridge
Gifted talons, purge on my throne
Life’s thrown on death’s edge
The sky’s torn, out falls Armageddon

Sinner’s tail feathers can’t hide
My hand holds a thousand slashes
Mountain kingdom soaring on the glide
My wings roaring flashes to ashes

Eagles: illumination of spirit, healing, creation, Divine, Spirit (feathers are sacred healing tools
