I Am a Tree

I am a tree Sturdy and strong I am as glorious as can be I have to cope with Pain and strain From extreme heat To torrential rain I am very well aware Of the need for Love and care Seasons change So do I Just like humans I will die But before this happens to me I spread my branches Out to thee So you can all Have a gander I am a magnificent JACARANDA

A glorious tree indeed, especially when in bloom. Your poem is wonderfully expressive and displays that sweet kinship with humanity. Excellent Shirley! Happy New Year! xxoo
