I am a poet
I inspire to be
I am a poet 
This is me
I believe in poetry
And its will to achieve
I believe in poetry
Like this world believes in deceit
I write when I am sad
I write when I am glad
I write when I am turned-on
And I write when I am mad
I am a poet
Because I believe in the power of words
The exact way they flow from my mouth
The way they can motivate, inspire, deliver, and control their listeners
Makes me tremble to my knees
I am a poet
Even when I don’t feel I should be
I am a poet
I was born to lead
I am a poet
I inspire to be
I am a poet
