I Am a Bitterweed

I enjoy turning the cow's milk sour
as they graze on me hour by hour
Simply because the farmers you see
Run their tractors straight over me!

I have sunset flowers of Yellow
And most of the time I'm mellow
I light up the fields for those passer by
And hear them exclaim, "Oh My Oh My

But out of respect I'll simply say
Enjoy my color and have a nice day!

Thank You Kash....Here's a tip (that you don't need) but...a gardenia as well as a magnolia cannot be sent as a flower gift to someone as they turn yellow where the fingers touch. Meanwhile my florist friend learned that if she put the Gardenia arrangement together in ice water ...(yes underwater) it worked well and met with a fine surprising delivery...LOL....Congrats on your win....it is a real winner....

Oooh! I'll never look at a dandelion the same way again, Judy. Excellent use of irony to evoke that "Aha moment"! If I think in terms of personification, perhaps you look for the good in everyone (weed or fancy flower) and that is a great quality to have. Way to go, Judy!
