I Am

I am an angel that wasn’t treated great
I am the creation that no one appreciates
I am weakness for when there are tears
I consist of traumas that everyone fears
I’m the freezing wind in a winter night
That causes the worst of all frostbites
The stone that turned into a rigid rock
I am the proof that there is bad luck
My heart is broken glass surrounded by walls
Ready to go insane whenever it falls
But I hide my true feelings from the entire world
Not letting them know that I’m a lonely girl
My insecurities destroy me
My sensitivities weaken me
So I put myself in a giant shell
That’s starting to feel like a prison cell
That I built so well so there’s no escape
And it’s like my mouth is just covered by tape
Silence is the loudest thing in my life
But people hear me whenever I grab a knife
My skin speaks words that I have never said
Isn’t it a miracle that I’m still not dead?
I am the one who will never be free
I am what the world made me
