I Am

 I am the one who betrayed you
I am the one you won't forgive
I am the person you shunned
I am the person you despised

I am someone you didn't trust
I am someone you want to kill
I am the cloud over your head
I am the essence of your hate

You wish i never existed
You erased me from your mind
You failed to notice why i'm here
You are the one who won't deny

I am the one who protected you
I am the person who truly cared
I am someone who saved your life
You're the one i freed from the gun

Peggy Caulfield May 28, 2012 at 10:58 AM You're the Good Samaritan, unappreciated by the one you cared so much for. This makes me think of the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave His all for each one of us and how many ignore what He has done. Good Poem.
