I Am
I am a woman;
strong, beautiful, and smart
I am Tara Cannon (Winstead)
That's what gives this 'being' spark;
Skin so soft and brown,
The epidime of My heart,
All of Me is Me;
I wouldn't change a single part;
I was taken from My mother;
They moved Us near and far;
I'd been to 14 states and 11 countries;
Before I could even drive a car;
Where You're at and where You've been;
Don't determine who You are;
Or if You shop at shopping malls;
Or choose to visit a bazaar;
I left at the age of 14 years;
I was ready for the cold;
I didn't have ANYTHING;
Didn't even know I'd live to be old;
I stuck to My guns and stood up bold;
My body never sold;
To GOD I gave My only Soul;
And My cards, I will NOT fold;
Satan's fought My heart, mind, body;
Trying to make Me part of his scam;
Because GOD's the BASE of My foundation;
NOT A THING CAN CHANGE WHO I AM!!!
